Research Profile
The scientific activities of the Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics focus on investigating the genetic determinants of common human diseases, including the analysis of gene-gene interactions and gene-environment interactions influencing individual susceptibility. The main research areas include the genetic background of atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease (CAD), the genetic determinants of tendon physiology and pathology, childhood ischemic stroke, the autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and osteoporosis.
